Description

An informative and practical webinar designed to empower school leaders and in embedding child safety into their school culture. This session will focus on the role of leadership in promoting a child-safe environment, practical steps for meeting Victoria’s 11 Child Safe Standards, and strategies to engage all stakeholders in a shared responsibility for child safety.

During this one-hour panel discussion, our expert speakers will address common challenges faced by school leaders, share real-world examples of effective practices, and provide guidance on how to move beyond compliance to create environments where children feel safe, supported, and heard. Topics include fostering a culture of safety, ensuring student voices are incorporated in safety policies, and overcoming barriers to disclosure.

The session will include insights from Anne on leading multiple campuses, Lisa on addressing misconceptions and empowering staff, and Shannon on ensuring student safety and reducing harm through proactive strategies. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session, allowing participants to engage with the speakers and seek advice on specific scenarios.
