Description
Already a therapy dog facilitator? Just getting started? Or exploring the idea of working in this rewarding field?
Working with children and young people in real-world settings can bring unexpected situations—many of which aren’t covered in standard training or theory. Practice can be messy, dynamic, and full of surprises.
Ever had someone rush up to your dog without asking? Found yourself in a session where emotions escalated quickly? Wondered how to respond when your dog is overwhelmed or unsure?
If you’ve experienced moments like these—or want to be prepared for them—this workshop is for you.
Real-World Applications for Therapy Dog Facilitators is a dynamic, in-person workshop that will equip you with practical strategies and techniques you can immediately apply to your own work. The workshop includes pre-recorded demonstrations of real-life scenarios drawn from authentic practice—allowing us to explore common challenges and effective responses without placing stress on therapy dogs during the session.
