This course really changed my understanding of what trauma is and how it can impact all of us, particularly our students. Trauma can have serious implications for shaping how we interact with others and how we learn. The theory and specific strategies have been helpful in understanding others, and myself, and provide concrete ways to support someone. Even if a student hasn't necessarily experienced trauma, the practices and strategies are useful with all students. Really, it is about how to build safe, positive relationships and respond well to all people.
