In 2023 the Positive Schools Conference is focusing on the 'how' of putting wellbeing ideas and knowledge into sustainable action in classrooms and schools.

Australian educators understand the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing in students, but might not have the tools to put into action.

Ben Sacco National Program Director, ReLATE, will present 'I'm safe, I'm here, I'm listening: A practical guide to effective classroom communication', offering realistic strategies on communication to try in the classroom.

Experts in loss from our Seasons for Growth program will also hold a workshop that gives participants the opportunity to learn what grief may look like in the classroom, and how school staff communities can respond. Self-care in the context of providing grief and loss support in schools will also be discussed.

The Positive Schools Conference will include a mix of talks and interactive workshops, all built around the theme of practical strategies for improving wellbeing in the classroom.
