The Sanctuary model is comprised of four domains, all of which need to be operating simultaneously in order to practice Sanctuary effectively - each one supports and complements the other to influence organisational culture and climate, and inform how services are delivered.
One of these four key domains is the seven commitments: These commitments are agreements we make as a community to prevent trauma exposure if possible, or reduce its impact on individuals and the community as a whole. The seven commitments are: nonviolence, emotional intelligence, democracy, social learning, growth and change, social responsibility and open communication.
