Child Safety - Governance
This professional learning will deepen knowledge and understanding of the governing body’s obligations in relation to the Child Safe Standards. These self-paced online learning modules are designed for school governing bodies, including school boards and councils so they can ensure that school policies, procedures and practices are compliant with Ministerial Order 1359 and child safety is prioritised across all dimensions of the school culture.
This training supports school governing bodies to meet their annual regulatory requirements and to effectively ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in educational settings. The 12 modules offer self-paced, interactive content, including scenario-based examples and quizzes, to deepen participants' knowledge of creating and maintaining child-safe schools. Each module is crafted to ensure participants can engage at their own pace, with progress saved as they advance, making it convenient to complete in a single session or at different times.

These modules support schools to create, strengthen and maintain a child-safe environment; emphasising prevention of child harm and ensuring children's safety and wellbeing in a school setting. This NSW NESA and ACT TQI accredited proficient teacher professional learning course, equips educators with the knowledge and strategies to create trauma-responsive classrooms. Participants will explore the impact of trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on student behaviour and learning. The course introduces practical, evidence-based approaches to support students' mental health and promote positive behaviour.
Through engaging presentations, group discussions, and practical activities, educators will learn how to establish predictable routines, manage challenging behaviours respectfully, and foster safe, inclusive learning environments. Key models and strategies covered include High Impact Engagement Strategies, Collaborative Proactive Solutions, and self-regulation techniques to mitigate stress and build resilience in students.
Participants will leave the course with actionable strategies to apply immediately in their classrooms, creating environments where all students feel safe, engaged, and supported in their learning journey.

Enhancing Awareness and Building Confidence to Support Student Wellbeing
Mental health challenges among students are on the rise, impacting their learning, relationships, and overall wellbeing. This program equips school leaders, educators, staff and Queensland education personnel with practical knowledge and strategies to recognise, respond to, and support students experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring a proactive and inclusive school environment.
This One-Day online training program is designed by a multi-disciplinary team of school leaders, clinical, mental health and cultural teams. It is ideal for those who have any interaction with students including principals, school leaders, wellbeing leaders, teaching staff, school support staff and education personnel.
MHEALTH Headstart (One-Day) is a foundational program designed for school leadership and teaching staff to develop essential mental health literacy, practical response skills, and strategies to foster a supportive school environment.

Power to Kids Workforce Training focuses on prevention strategy 1; to upskill out of home and residential carer workers with the confidence to have 'brave conversations' about sexual safety. This training builds carers capabilities to prevent, identify and intervene early when they see indicators of abuse.

Supporting Student Safety, Connection, and Adaptive Behaviour
This practical two-day course is designed for school leaders, teachers, and education support staff who work directly with students experiencing dysregulation in school environments. Grounded in the Attune & Apply student dysregulation support framework, this course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to safely support students in distress and guide them toward emotional regulation and prosocial behaviour.
Developed and refined through implementation in MacKillop’s specialist settings and ReLATE schools across Australia, the framework offers practical, relationship-based approaches for responding to dysregulated behaviour in real time while building students’ long-term coping capacity.
Throughout the course, participants will explore how to:
-Implement Proactive Strategies to Support Student Safety and Engagement
-Understand and Respond to Maladaptive Behaviour
-Co-Regulate Effectively During Moments of Student Distress
-Position Educators and Teams for Success

Real-World Applications for Therapy Dog Facilitators - is a dynamic, in-person workshop that will equip you with practical strategies and techniques you can immediately apply to your own work. The workshop includes pre-recorded demonstrations of real-life scenarios drawn from authentic practice allowing us to explore common challenges and effective responses without placing stress on therapy dogs during the session.
